Jim’s career at Sightpath began when he joined in 2000 as Vice President and General Manager. He has been responsible for leading the staff through the successful transition to a publicly traded company and subsidiary of TLCVision Corporation. In 2003, Jim was promoted to Sightpath President. Under Jim’s leadership, Sightpath has become the largest cataract outsourcing company in the United States. The number of procedures performed each year has nearly tripled since his tenure began and continues to rise with acquisitions and the implementation of new growth strategies. In April 2009, Jim assumed responsibilities as President and Chief Operating Officer of TLCVision Corporation and, in addition, remains President of Sightpath Medical.

Jim received his B.A. from Arizona State University in 1979 and his M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri in 1993. He has held various management positions during his 25 years in the ophthalmic industry at companies such as Bausch & Lomb, Storz and LVCI. Jim enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time. He and his fabulous wife, Marianne, live in Chanhassen and have two children, Ryan, who is in college, and Liz who is in graduate school.
