Jose Garza

Dr. Garza Leal attended the University of Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico, completing degrees in Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology. Fellowship in Gynecological Endoscopy at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. During Residence training he was awarded “Best Resident” in the University Hospital.

He has organized several National Meetings of Gynecology and Endoscopy. He was Chairman of the Endoscopy National Meeting in 2000. In the year 1999 he was President of the Endoscopy Association of Nuevo Leon.

He is currently member of several medical associations and is an Evaluator for the Mexican Ob/Gyn Board.

He has actively participated in numerous clinical investigations for several worldwide companies, as well as a member of several Scientific Advisory Boards. He´s interests have been mainly in endometrial ablation. His research and practice have focused in innovative techniques for treating abnormal uterine bleeding, myomas, and hysteroscopic sterilization. He has published numerous papers in these fields in several international journals.

He was president for the Mexican Federation of Gynecological Endocopy from 2007-2009.

Since 1992 he has been working as Professor in the Ob/Gyn Department at the University Hosptial “Dr. Jose E. Gonzalez” in Monterrey. He is also in charge of Special Procedures in Gynecology and of Endoscopy.

He has been Chairman of the Ethics Committee and Clinical Investigation for the Medical School in the University of Nuevo Leon since 2004.
