Mudit has more than a decade of operational experience in various functional roles including research, product development, business development, M&A, and venture capital. Most recently, Mudit was an Executive Director with Johnson and Johnson Development Corporation as part of their Management team and led the firm’s medical device investments in the Midwest and East Coast and had Board responsibilities for JJDC investments. Prior to JJDC, Mudit was a Corporate Director with Corporate Office of Science and Technology at JNJ, where he worked with JNJ’s Chief Scientific Officer and was instrumental in evaluating and assessing early stage growth opportunities for the medical device franchises across JNJ. Prior to JNJ Mudit was with Guidant Corporation’s Cardiac Rhythm Management Division and led their efforts to develop and evaluate new medical device technologies in cardiac ablation, heart failure, and regenerative therapies. Mudit has also worked as a consultant to Epicor, Inc.(part of St. Jude Medical), Cardiac Pathways Corporation (acquired by Boston Scientific), and Medtronic. Mudit holds seven issued patents and has published numerous articles in peer reviewed publications.

Mudit currently serves as a member on the Board of Directors of Inspire Medical Systems and is a Board Observer for Oraya Therapeutics and TransEnterix, Inc.

Mudit graduated with a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Nagpur, India, where he ranked first in his class. He received his Ph.D. from Duke University in Biomedical Engineering. His was the first Ph.D. awarded in cardiac radiofrequency ablation in the nation. Mudit completed his M.B.A. from the Wharton School focusing on Healthcare Management and Finance and was named on the Director’s list for academic achievement.
